Board of Director's Application
Thank you for your interest in serving on the Board of Directors for the non‐profit organization Expanding Early Care and Learning in Clear Creek County (EECL).
Mission Statement: We will increase quality, affordable, safe and supportive environments in all early childcare and learning settings to promote development and create nurturing relationships for young children (infants to kindergarten) thus contributing to a thriving community.
The main responsibilities of the board are:
-
Strategic and organizational planning.
-
Community engagement and involvement in aligned activities to our mission.
-
Ensuring strong fiduciary oversight and financial management.
-
Fundraising and resource development to ensure accessible and affordable early childhood education within Clear Creek County.
-
Approving and monitoring the organization’s programs and services
We currently have sitting board members and would like to increase that number to represent early childhood interests more fully in Clear Creek County. We are recruiting for two and three year terms. The board meets monthly on the third Wednesday at 6:00 pm (virtually) for one and a half to two hours. Currently, there is a commitment to attend monthly meetings, and our current projects may increase your dedicated volunteer time, in between meetings. You may find more information about our current projects at https://www.clearcreekeecl.org.
Board members should have an interest in and/or experience with young children and the need for childcare and early learning. Additionally, residency within Clear Creek County (CCC) and or personal connection with CCC is preferable. Board members should have an awareness of current childcare issues on local and statewide levels.
Kindly fill out the application form (below) and include your resume to be considered for a position. Following this, the current president will arrange an individual interview, with a potential subsequent meeting with the full board. If you are accepted, a completed commitment form is required. Should you have additional questions, or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact Pamela Marsh (President) at drptmarsh@icloud.com or (303) 929-5960.
We look forward to hearing from you and appreciate your interest in early childhood in Clear Creek County.
